Currently there are three campgrounds and dispersed camping in the Mokelumne River Recreation area. Camping, is on a first come first serve basis. As there are no “group areas”, campers are free to have their groups consolidated in a camp ground or dispersed camping area. On occasion, multiple campers, each with their own tent, occupy a single campsite. One of the possibilities being considered is the designation of specific group areas. We would like your opinion.
